(apologizes in advance for lack of pic) All right, so I was walking back to the car when I saw a car I had never seen. It had a badge that was very similar to a Mazda badge, but it definitely was not a Mazda. On the upper right corner of the trunk lid there was a model number, HG600. It was a grey sedan. Not quite sure if it is sold here, but it had Wisconsin plates. This is your task Oppo. Solve the mystery.
On a side note went to the local auto show and saw this:
Also I really, really want a BMW 4 series now.

Any more details?
Age? Size? Number of doors? RHD? Seats?
You haven't given us much.

Umm, it's clearly an HG600 bro. Never heard of it?

That ZR2 is so, so right.king shocks, front lift, new facia with integrated winch. This with the 2.8 diesel is literally the wet dream of so many overlanders.

I think the approx timeline of the car would help, I mean, I'm not 100% sure if you mean similar to the modern or older mazda badge.

None of my searches for "HG600" return a sedan. They're all some sort of tool or something.

Not much to say frankly, It was a standard midsize affair. Four door. I'd wager Chinese. It looked fairly new.

they never sold something badged as an HG600 though. After a quick google search I didn't find that.

Maybe they renamed the model if they really want to sell it here? Idk.
I do know I am ashamed that so many logos have been copied.

This is what my search led me to.
Haima 3 sedan

I know, that's what I keep finding it's weird.

That badge is close but they don't sell anything with that model name. This is weird.

Going off of what Scoob suggested I found a sedan that looks midsized and looks like a Buick. Did it look like a Buick or no?

I'd guess it was a rebadged Optima. We have TONS of those around here. Most common is this one but there's lots of different ones out there. Do an image search for 'kia badge replacement' and see if you recognize the one you saw.

It looked great in person.
There were a few really cool Jeeps as well. The one I liked the best was this one:

I think we may have a winner with this theory
These look a lot like what I saw.

Not quite, but I looked at one of those at the auto show today. That car deserves some respect it is amazingly nice on the inside. The one on the floor had reclining rear seats. It is amazing how just a decade ago their cars were utter shit and now they are great.
![]() 03/07/2015 at 23:33 |

No, nicer than that at least.

The model names just don't match up. I wish my phone wasn't dead (or with people at the time) and I would have gone out of my way to take a pic of it.

probably changed the Optima badge to give it some uniqueness in the Kia lineup.
It's a very pretty car, and comes very well equipped for the price.

Show the rear view. It was in the parking ramp at the Mall of America so all I saw was the back.

How about this one?

Maybe so. Looked at Kias at the show today. I would say I'm impressed with current offerings. Never gave them much attention before. Probably won't get one but they definitely aren't the shit they made long ago.

I'm always willing to give any brand a chance. Kia Optima is a bit dated at the moment, but when it came out, it was a looker. It's also had a ton of great options. The designers at Kia are just amazing.
this is parked outisde my house, it's so attractive for a minivan.
and the Sorento

The K900 is something else though. that interior was really nice. One of the best rear seats I sat on today. Power reclining, adjustable lumbar support (which is quite rare for rear seats), as well as heated and cooled seats.
